Luiza Zan is one of the most prominent voices of Romanian jazz music. With virtuosity and elegance, her warm and imposing voice easily breaks the barrier of patterns and preconceptions. She has won numerous awards in national jazz contests; in 2014, her passion for competition landed her the prestigious and undisputable, well-deserved 2nd prize in the Shure Jazz Voice Competition, during the Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland, the oldest festival in Europe and one of the most praised festivals in the world.
